Dating the Revelation
The Objection
"Jesus said that no one can know when the End Time will come."
The Response
This is a misconception many have, which is based upon what others have told us to believe about what Jesus said.
Matthew 24 - New American Standard Version
What Jesus Actually Said About Knowing the Timing of End Time Events - In Context:
Before entering this area be sure you are familiar with and understand:
Tracking the Chart of Revelation's Seven-Year End Time . . .
When Calculating Time Intervals
- To make this process easy, the BHCC provides the Julian Calendar Day Count, denoted as "j # # # # # # #".
- As was the practice of the Hebrews, both the start day and the end day are to be included in the time interval being calculated.
- Jesus was asked for the signs of His coming and that's what He gives here. He wasn't asked for a detailed exegesis of the End Time, which is given in Revelation.
Signs of Christ's Return: 1 Jesus left the temple area and was going on His way when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
2 But He responded and said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down."
3 And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, ["Your coming" refers specifically to Jesus' Second Advent] and of the end of the age?" [Jesus' following comments are in response to this clear question]
4 And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will mislead many people.
6 And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains. [Jesus begins His answer, describing the world as it was in His day, and as it will be until the End Time]
9 "Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. [clearly the Church and not Israel]
- Tribulation is a time of persecution of the Church.
10 And at that time ["that time" is "the end of the age" -v3; the End Time] many will fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another.
- We already see this happening in the apostatizing Liberal Church of today (2021), as many members become "woke" to the intolerant "tolerance" of Leftist ideology.
11 And many false prophets will rise up and mislead many people. [many pastors and other church leaders have already fallen for this New Age Agenda]
12 And because lawlessness [the lawlessness of the Antichrist religion - II Thes 2:3-4] is increased, most people's love will become cold.
13 But the one who endures to the end ["the end" is "the end of the age" -v3] is the one who will be saved. [Rev 2:26]
14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. [Rev 14:6]
Perilous Times: 15 "Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place-let the reader understand-
- Jesus here places Daniel's "abomination of desolation" at "the end of the age".
16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
17 Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get things out of his house.
18 And whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
19 But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days!
20 Moreover, pray that when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. [flight; travel is much more difficult at these times; esp on Sabbath in Israel]
21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. [Great Tribulation follows Tribulation (v9)]
22 And if those days [the days of Great Tribulation - v21] had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
- Of the Israelites who were Sealed in order that they could withstand Satan's Great Tribulation, a very small number will survive.
- The days that are "cut short" for the Church, are the days of Great Tribulation. They are "cut short" at the mid-point of the 7-year End Time; at the end of Tribulation when the Church is Raptured under the Scroll's 6th Seal (Rev 7:9-17), and thereby "kept from" Great Tribulation under the 7th Seal which follows (Rev 8).
- Great Tribulation is a time of persecution of the 144,000 Israelites, who were just previously Sealed to God under the 6th Seal (Rev 7:1-8). The Church is now in Heaven.
23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'He is over here,' do not believe him.
24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
25 Behold, I have told you in advance.
26 So if they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Behold, He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe them.
27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming [the Second Advent] of the Son of Man be.
28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. [Idiom which is roughly equivalent to: "Where there's smoke, there's fire." Meaning: "When I come, you will know it."]
The Glorious Return: 29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days [Church Tribulation occurred under the 1st 4 Seals (Seal 5 was in Heaven)] the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. [starting at Seal 6 (Rev 6:12-17) and through Seal 7 (Rev 16)]
30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. [He is seen by ALL - Righteous and Unrighteous; as He comes on the clouds - at His Second Advent - Rev 14:14-16]
31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
- Jesus comes on the clouds at His Second Advent; the 7th Seal's 6th Trumpet - the 2nd Woe - when the Unrighteous will see Him Rapture Israel - Rev 1:7; 14:14-16.
Parable of the Fig Tree: 32 "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near;
33 so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.
- His people living near the End Time will have a clear understanding of the timing involved.
34 Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. [the last generation will understand the timing]
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
36 "But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. [But what does this really mean?]
- As should now be commonly understood, this statement actually specifies the precise Holy Day on the Hebrews' calendar upon which Jesus will Return. Note:
● The 1st Day or Hour of a month cannot be determined until there is visual confirmation by two or more witnesses, of the New Moon's 1st "sliver" of light.
● Rosh Hashanah is the only one of the Holy Observances (detailed in Leviticus 23) which occurs on the 1st Day of a month - the seventh month, Tishrei.
● Jesus' statement places His 2nd Advent squarely upon Rosh Hashanah - with the year not yet given.
● Confirming research (again, I do not necessarily agree with or endorse all that is said in these articles):
"During the period of the Prophets, the sanctification of the months was dependent upon hearing the testimony of witnesses who had seen the new moon. On the evening following the twenty-ninth day of Elul, the court would sanctify the day as the first of Tishrei based on the possibility that witnesses might come that day and testify that they had seen the new moon, retroactively establishing Rosh Hashanah on that day. If the witnesses did indeed appear, then that day would be sanctified and the following day would be a regular day - the second of Tishrei. However, if witnesses did not appear, then the following day would be Rosh Hashanah and retroactively, the previous evening - which the court had sanctified - would turn out to be a regular weekday. So that people would not treat the first day lightly, since its sanctified or weekday status was dependent upon the appearance of witnesses during the course of the day, the early Prophets ordained that Rosh Hashanah be celebrated as a two-day holiday - with the prohibition of work, the sounding of the shofar, and the order of prayer being observed on both days." link
"Many people believe that we "will not know the day or the hour of His appearing". They fail to realize, however, that this phrase taken from Matthew 24:36 is an actual common Hebrew idiom for Rosh HaShanah. Jesus' audience fully understood that what Jesus was saying was "I will come again on Rosh HaShanah at some point in the future". It would be like saying in America, "I'll see you again when we gather together to exchange presents." We automatically know that we are referring to Christmas. In like manner, we can expect to see our Messiah on some future Rosh HaShanah." link Others: link link link
37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. [Remember this: "just like the days of Noah."]
38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
- The unprepared didn't know when the flood would come; they didn't believe it was coming at all. Righteous Noah did know when it was coming, especially as it drew near.
39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. [the unrighteous don't understand when He is coming]
40 At that time there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. [this speaks of the two Raptures, of the Church and of Israel; "taken" (as Noah was) = Raptured]
41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left. [just as in Noah's day, the unrighteous are left behind to face God's Judgment]
- The following are parables so not every statement can be directly applied to the actual topic being discussed. Even so:
Be Ready for His Coming: 42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. [they didn't even know the Year much less the Day]
43 But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. [this is clear instruction for End Time believers to know the time]
- The Righteous are instructed to know when the "thief" is coming. - Matt 24:43; Luke 12:39
- "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came [1st Advent] so that they would have life...." - John 10:10 The "thief" is not coming for believers.
- "The day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night." - 1 Thes 5:2 The Day of the Lord. This is not the Rapture. It is the Judgment.
- "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its
works will be discovered." - 2 Peter 3:10 The "thief" comes in Judgment - not in Salvation. The Righteous Are Not Present. They are Raptured prior to the Day of Judgment.
- "But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, so that the day would overtake you like a thief." - 1 Thes 5:4 The Righteous will NOT be present on "the Day".
- "... keep [your faith], and repent. Then if you are not alert, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you." - Rev 3:3 Unmistakably: It is the
Unrighteous who do not realize the Time. If We Keep Our Faith ... we WILL Know the Time and Be Ready, knowing the hour He is coming for us - to Rapture us to Glory!
44 For this [hidden] reason [that Jesus won't return for 2,000 years] you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will. [ a VERY LONG time from now]
45 "Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time?
46 Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.
47 Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
48 But if that evil slave says in his heart, 'My master is not coming for a long time,' [to not believe the possibility of imminency, is a temptation toward slovenly conduct]
49 and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk;
50 then the master of that [evil] slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know,
- The clear implication is that a "slave" who is not evil will know to expect the master on the Right Day and at the Right Hour. The early Church wasn't given Timing Information regarding the Lord's Return because, as is shown here (vs48-49), to know that it would take another 2,000 years would have been a severe temptation to become complacent, risking the consequences of the "thief". Instead they were given belief in the Imminency of the Lord's Return. Many New Testament passages show this, fortified by Revelation 22.
- When Jesus' Return was still in the distant future, Believing Imminency Increased Vigilance.
- Now that Jesus' Return is very close, KNOWING the Precise Timing MAXIMIZES Vigilance.
51 and he will cut him in two and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [again, the "thief" comes in Judgment]
To Summarize:
"... so you too, when you see all these (signs that are given in the End Time), recognize that He is near, right at the door."
"But about that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone." - Matthew 24:33 & 36 (NASB)
- Jesus said no one knew the Day or the Hour when He would return. Using this language actually specifies His return will occur at Rosh Hashanah - year unknown.
- To assume Jesus' words apply to anyone other than to whom they were spoken - the people of Jesus' day - is no more valid than to assume they do not.
- In fact, Jesus said that when this occurs - in the End Time - the Righteous will "see all these (signs and) recognize (when) He is near, right at the door." (v33)
- If we take these words at face value, they clearly indicate our knowledge of the Day, if not the Hour.
- His words didn't include anything like the "year", the "season", the "month", or the "week". To think that His words apply to these periods of time is again assumption.
- The "return" He is speaking of is not the "Secret" Rapture of the Church - an event commonly believed to be sudden, and unexplained to those who are left behind.
- This "return" is a time when Jesus has announced His arrival as "lightning" (v27) and on the "clouds" (v30); His Second Advent to "reap" Israel (Rev 14:14-16).
- It is a return which will be seen by everyone, the righteous and the unrighteous alike (v30).
- It is a time when those who are not expecting Him will be "cut in two" and "assigned a place with the hypocrites" with "weeping and gnashing of teeth (v51).
- This is anything but a "secret", but it is a Rapture; the Rapture of Israel at Rosh Hashanah - the event which Ends Great Tribulation.
- Rosh Hashanah; Tishrei 1; the Day of Blowing Trumpets "... is the ONLY Feast of The Lord that NO MAN know[s] the day or hour, no not even the angels."
- In using this description Jesus was in fact pointing us directly to Rosh Hashanah as the timing of His "return".
- Most significantly, Jesus did not say the timing of the Seven Years End Time would never be known.
- He said that even He didn't know this. But God knows everything. Jesus is God. Therefore, Jesus left this information behind for His earthly mission.
- Jesus said He and the Father are One. This Timing is the only information Jesus specifically said He didn't know. But, He said, God the Father knows it.
- Jesus died, resurrected and returned to glory with the Father. He said His Revelation was then given to Him by the Father (Rev 1:1).
- So, rejoining the Father and again having only the Nature of God (not of man), Jesus again became fully knowledgeable and now understood the Timing.
- Jesus then gave His Revelation (given to Him by the Father) to John. Receiving a revelation is to receive previously unknown information.
- The Book of Revelation is the revelation of new information. John was the recipient of brand new, previously unknown (to mankind) information.
- This sounds very much like it could include, for example, the Timing of End Time events, the only thing that Jesus previously said He didn't know.
- Jesus didn't know the Timing ... but then later He did know it. Jesus gained information and then gave that information to John.
- There is no reason given to us anywhere which prevents this new information from including aspects of, or a full explanation of the timing of End Time events.
- People very much need to stop overshadowing the meaning of Bible passages with their own preconceptions; things they have been taught to believe; or that they have come to believe on their own.
A Good Conversation - edited for clarity
Friend: I think many argue that the end of time will come with a jubilee and then use different proposals to say when the current jubilee cycle will end etc.
Me: I don't incorporate jubilees into this process because, jubilees and their timing have no bearing on the timing of End Time events, which are only dependent upon the Hebrew Calendar, after of course having found the correct anchor point. What the aspect of jubilee might provide to the discussion, would be to add even more credence to a particular timing scenario that also coincides with a significant jubilee-related date.
It is becoming more apparent and gaining increasing support, that the Essenes were the sect most aligned with biblical truth; and that their final jubilee will begin in the year 2025. 2025 is the year (as revealed by my software and as some others are also saying) which marks the beginning of the End Time's Seven Years. This can only be seen as still more support for what has been revealed.
I don't think it is a preconception to read Jesus' words to the apostles in a straight forward way.
One avoids preconception by staying as close to the original thought as possible. Jesus was speaking to the people of his time when He said they didn't know. Addressing the people near the End Time Jesus said that we will "... recognize that He is near, right at the door." (Mt 24:33 NASB) That would have to be very close to knowledge of the Day, if not the Hour.
Do you think that it is logical to want both of these statements to apply to the people of the End Time?: That it isn't possible for us to have any real concept of when Jesus will return; and yet we will "see all these (signs and) recognize [when] He is near, right at the door." He was clearly speaking to people living in two separate time periods. I know you've been taught to believe things in a certain way; and I know that it's difficult to see past that; I've been there. But it really is important for us not to add in our own thoughts and beliefs.
That we don't know the timing of the End, is a teaching that is meant to be communicated to the church; that a believer's main focus is to always have a mind to stay awake, be on guard and watchful, because they do not know the time.
I don't understand how the knowledge that Jesus is coming soon would cause one to be less watchful. I know it's been quite the opposite for me, knowing that there is very little time left.
It would have been quite the opposite in Jesus' day. If they had known then that Jesus wasn't going to return for 2000 years, there would have been real danger of being less watchful. That's why they weren't given the timing, even though Jesus said clearly that we near the end would be much more clear about it. If you want to take Jesus' words "in a straight forward way", how much more clearly could He have said it than we will know He is "right at the door."
It is possible that all that would change in a few decades when Revelation is written, but it seems strange that the teaching that we don't know the timing, would be said in the way it was, if that would change in a few decades when Revelation is written.
It didn't change in a few decades. Unless a person clearly and fully understood God's Seven-Millennium Plan - which until recently was knowledge reserved for prophets and sages - reading Revelation in 100 AD (or in 2000 AD for that matter) would reveal nothing to them about its timing. To understand the timing you need to know two things: the proper calendar and the lynchpin event. I believe God has helped me to find both of these. The lynchpin event - asteroid Apophis - wasn't even discovered until 2004.
Now this could primarily be speaking of the near-coming events that were to occur in that generation, but certainly those things are also being used as a parable/model/pattern for events at the very end.
Jesus was clearly speaking about His Second Advent in the book of Matthew, so about Revelation: The letters to the churches were relevant to that time, as they are for us now. The prophecy itself contains other information pertinent to the early church as well; and of course all scripture is important for a variety of reasons besides prophecy. The timing requires an understanding of the three ways in which Revelation addresses the 3.5 year period of time. They are all different, employ different prophecy principles and have different applications. Right here I'm not going to give too many details about individual aspects of what I've found. This requires someone who is willing to take the time to look at the entirety of it, and to see how the sum is created by the parts.
It also seems that as the signs come more clearly and forcibly that the timing will become more clear.
Yes, we need to understand that God can and does still reveal things to us.
I think some of those things are clear, others are less clear and understanding may be increased by studying and the guidance of the Spirit (so I'm not saying we shouldn't be thinking about these things - and I think they can help urge us on to be watchful etc.).
It's good you think this. And its good you agree that this knowledge will in fact cause a believer to be more watchful. That certainly has been my experience.
While clues about timing for events at the end may be discernible from the Bible, I also think it is wise to not be overconfident about what exact event those times may pertain to or how exactly it will all play out.
I very much agree. I have never said I absolutely KNOW that my understanding is flawless on this. I have said that the various timings that have been revealed are far beyond coincidence, and I stand by that. Could God have some purpose for all of this other than what I can see? Of course He could. I understand that many apparently good people have in the past made predictions that didn't pan out - David Wilkerson comes to mind - I think he's a good man - but his "prophecy" didn't happen ... at least not in the way he thought it would.
It is possible that some of these things will be revealed in a very precise way as we come closer to the end, but as you point out, it is also possible that they may not - which would align in my mind with the command to always be ready and to be about the master's work, because "you do not know when the time will come."
I don't know how much closer to the end we should be before God begins revealing these things. You said earlier (in a previous conversation), "I think the signs of the times are pretty clear for those who have eyes to see - the time is very short."
Your two thoughts here cancel each other out if you believe that the "you" (of "you do not know when the time will come") includes the people of our time. I noted earlier what Jesus actually did say to the people of the End Time. I don't think I've said of End Time events that "they may not" be revealed. I believe they have now been revealed. Could I be wrong? I've said repeatedly that I will never say that I absolutely know these things until and if God gives me undeniable confirmation. He has done that in the past where I absolutely did know in my heart, mind and soul that a very important event - the conversion of my father - was going to happen - and I told many - and it happened shortly thereafter, without any preceding indication on his part that it would do so. This was something that family members had been praying about for decades. I will continue to pray for that type of confirmation here if it is God's will.
2. Representations of Time
The segments of time spoken of in Revelation - primarily the 3.5 Years which is applied in various ways and to different time periods - must also be clearly understood. I noted this in Revelation - The Prophecy Unfolds, but it bears repeating here:
IMPORTANT: Note the following regarding the three ways in which the two 3.5 Year Time Periods (never actually stated as "3.5 Years") are denoted in Revelation:
1. "1260 Days" - Day-For-A-Year Prophecy. - "I [God] have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for each year." - Ezek 4:6
2. "42 Months" - 30 Days/Month (360-Days/Year) Prophecy; and
3. "Time, Times + Half a Time" - each "Time" equals 365.25 Days - 1 Actual Year. - "The vision ... is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off."
- Ezek 12:27
Both Day-For-A-Year Prophecy and 30 Days/Month Prophecy are well understood, but why would a third representation of the 3.5 Years be needed? To deal in real time, which has not otherwise been represented.
Just as with any calendar, if Real Time isn't part of the process, a prophecy is going to quickly become muddled. When Historical Time / Years are spoken of it is in terms of actual full length Years. For example, the amount of Time / Years that Israel was in Egypt: "Now the time that the sons of Israel had lived in Egypt was 430 years." - Exodus 12:40
We have to be thinking of Time in terms of Actual Years here. Assigning 360 Day Prophetic Years would err by more than 6 Years. Even the Seven-Years End Time Prophecy in Revelation would be out by more than a month.
Of course the Lord didn't need to include this Real Time consideration in His Revelation, but it seems clear that He chose to do so, probably for our benefit in understanding and deciphering it. As we will see, a proper understanding of Time, Times + Half a Time is the key to unlocking the anchor point of the entire prophecy.
If we are to be able to follow and understand the timing of the Book of Revelation, we must first understand the three distinct ways in which the Book represents the 3.5 Year time period:
1. "1260 Days": an historical 1260 Year Period of tribulation which was endured by the early Church.
2. "42 Months": 42 months x 30 prophetic days/month = 1260 actual days.
3. "Time, Times + Half a Time": 3.5 literal years x 365.25 days/year = 1278 actual days.
The Process
Before an understanding of the Timing of Revelation can happen, three essential pieces of information must be gleaned from the Book itself and from other supporting information:
1. The Seven-Years End Time: A coherent and accurate account of at least the baseline events that are portrayed in the Book of Revelation;
2. Representations of Time: A proper understanding of the segments of time (especially the 3.5 years) as they are presented relative to the Seven-Years End Time; and
3. An Anchor Event In Time: A significant event with a discernible place in time relative to Revelation's Representations of Time, and upon which the calculation of
Revelation's timing can be based.
1. The Seven-Years End Time
I began this project with what I can describe as a fairly mundane, "average", "normal" Christian's understanding of what Revelation is showing us. My understanding of the Seven-Years End Time is now somewhat different than it was, and is explained on the webpage Revelation - The Prophecy Unfolds, which you should be familiar with prior to coming here.
John wrote Revelation with a high degree of symbolism so we really cannot be dogmatic about its interpretation, but after re-reading the Book many times, always with the purposes of research, study, and understanding, I am able to say that I have good confidence in what has come out of this effort.
Of course I also incorporated other sources of information, but Revelation is the foundation stone of this building. The Book tells us it wasn't meant to be "sealed up"; Revelation says it was meant to be understood. I took it at its word and the more I read and re-read it, the more I could see how the many pieces fit together within the background information that had accumulated in my mind over many years.
Let me be clear: I don't believe you can successfully proceed from this point if you have not yet come to an understanding of what is presented in Revelation - The Prophecy Unfolds. I'm quite certain that the nature of at least some of what I describe there will be new to you. You don't necessarily have to agree with it, but you must understand it before you can properly understand its timing as presented here. Please go back now if you don't have a clear understanding of what I believe Revelation is saying to us. Re-read that webpage as many times as it takes to achieve clarity. Again; you don't have to agree with it but you must understand it in order to understand the timing moving forward.
3. An Anchor Event In Time
I have had the notion for some time that an asteroid is being described by the 1st 4 Trumpets of the 7th Seal (Rev 8), and while watching a video of Dr. Thomas Horn (an updated video is here / Horn's website) speaking of a particular asteroid which he had seen in a vision, striking the Earth, my ensuing intrigue could not be denied. I simply had to research this asteroid to find out whatever I could, in order to determine if this could be the Anchor Event in Time which is needed, before the timing of Revelation can be deciphered. Here is what I found:
Nasa:
- The asteroid is named Apophis "... for the demon serpent who personified evil and chaos in ancient Egyptian mythology."
- It "... will harmlessly pass close to Earth on [Friday] April 13, 2029 ... [by] about 19,800 miles."
- "Radar images suggest it is elongated and possibly has two lobes, making it look something like a peanut."
Questions:
- Do you believe scientists have never been wrong and have never lied to us?
- Why would scientists be so quick to name the asteroid after "evil" and "chaos" if they were not at all certain that it will strike the Earth?
- Considering the myriad of possible space-related unknowns and unpredictable occurrences - objects, events, effects, nuances of physics, etc. - can science so precisely determine an asteroid's course more than two decades in advance?
Neil deGrasse Tyson (2012):
- "Apophis will come so close to Earth that it will dip below our orbiting communications satellites. And it is the size of the Rose Bowl."
- "The orbit we have for it is uncertain enough - because these things are hard to measure - that we cannot tell you exactly where that trajectory will be."
- "There is a 600 mile zone - we call it the keyhole. If the asteroid goes through the middle of that keyhole it will hit the Earth thirteen years later."
Question:
- Does it appear that Tyson believes the science is justifiably certain that Apophis will "pass by" the Earth in 2029?
Who is Nathan Myhrvold?:
- "... co-inventor on over 900 other U.S. patents issued to his corporation and its affiliates."
- Numerous awards including: "Myhrvold was named by Foreign Policy magazine to its list of top 100 global thinkers."
- He "... received the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences Luminary Award from the UCLA Division of Physical Sciences in 2021."
- "Every year a list of the world's 100 greatest thinkers appears in Foreign Policy magazine, and most years Nathan Myhrvold is on it."
Nathan Myhrvold Study:
- "The results presented in this study show that substantial work remains to be done in analyzing data from [NASA's] WISE/NEOWISE mission and interpreting it for asteroid science. Far from being a closed topic, it urgently needs attention."
Nathan Myhrvold: 'Nasa doesn't want to admit it's wrong about asteroids':
- "My main beef is with how they analysed that data. What I think happened is they made some poor choices of statistical methods. Then, to cover that up, they didn't publish a lot of the information that would help someone else replicate it. I'm afraid they have both over- and underestimated. The effect changes depending on the size of the asteroid and what it's made of. The studies were advertised as being accurate to plus or minus 10%. In fact, it is more like 30-35%. That's if you look overall. If you look at specific subsets some of them are off by more than 100%. It's kind of a mess."
- "[A] major asteroid impact will affect life on Earth at some point, just as it has multiple times in the past. The data are critical to assessing this risk."
Question:
- Although Myhrvold's criticism of NASA pertains to their (mis)calculations of asteroid size, does this inspire confidence in their various other calculations?
Scientists plan to land on Apophis, an ominous asteroid set for a rare Earth flyby:
There is certainly a high degree of interest in this asteroid being shown by the governments of the world, as well as reassurances galore that we know "100%" that it will NOT impact the Earth in 2029.
Question:
- Although Apophis is huge in terms of its damage potential should it impact Earth, it is very small when it comes to heavenly bodies. If the calculations the scientists have given us to date are accurate, is it a good idea to be landing a spacecraft on Apophis, risking that a slight impact could nudge it off its present course and put it on course for an Earth impact?
Where This Led Me:
What I learned about Apophis certainly left me with enough curiosity to carry on to also learn if possible, whether this asteroid, or more specifically the date of its encounter with Earth, could be tied to the Prophetic Time Periods of Revelation.
However, I was left with the dilemma of not knowing with any certainty, that there was available anywhere a properly derived Biblical Hebrew Calendar to help me do this. At that point I decided to thoroughly research this calendar and to write a computer program which I have called the Biblical Hebrew Calendar Creator (BHCC). But having gone through the previous material, you know this part of the story ... right?
So ... before the timing of events depicted in Revelation can be deciphered . . .
- We need to know what those events are, and the order in which they occur relative to each other - review here.
- We must understand how the 3.5 Year periods of time are variously applied - review here.
- And we must begin with the correct Anchor Point - the Lynchpin Event - to begin the entire process - review here.
Friday, April 13, 2029 (Nisan 29): Asteroid Apophis - Lynchpin Event
This project was begun in order to determine if Apophis could be the asteroid depicted in Revelation as the Lynchpin Event - the Anchor Point through which the timing of Revelation can be deciphered. The legitimacy of this presupposition would be determined by the precision of the asteroid's timing when compared to timing relationships given in Revelation, in conjunction with significant Hebrew Calendar dates, particularly the Holy Days as described in Leviticus 23. Upon studying Revelation it seems apparent that:
- An asteroid impact will occur at the 7th Seal's 1st 4 Trumpets (Rev 8).
- This occurs at the Mid Point of the Seven-Years End Time; Ending the 1st 3.5 Year Period - Tribulation - and Beginning the 2nd 3.5 Year Period - Great Tribulation.
- The only time the 3.5 Year Period is described as "Time, Times and half a Time" (Rev 12), it is describing the 1st 3.5 Years.
- "Time, Times and half a Time" is to be understood as 3.5 Literal Years of 365.25 days each, which equates to 1278 Days.
- Counting biblically - including both the first day and the last day - moving back in time 1278 Days from Apophis brings us to . . .
March 26, 2029 (Nisan 11): The Church is Raptured
- This is the exact midpoint of the Nisan (Spring) Holy Days, including celebration of First Fruits whose date is not fixed and can occur outside the other Holy Days.
- This is the exact midpoint of the Nisan Holy Days (Nisan 1 - 21), and yet not on any of the Holy Days themselves, which were given to Israel, not the Church.
- This year's Nisan Holy Days are an exact replication of Jesus' Passion Week in 33 AD, even with First Fruits on Nisan 17, when Jesus rose as our First Fruits Offering.
- In fact, the entire 7 Years of the End Time predeeding the 7th Millennium, configures identically with the 7 Years preceeding Jesus' crucifixion and the 5th Millennium.
- This configuration is rare. That it would occur in both 33 AD and 2029 AD is approximately 1 in 10,000 as calculated through statistical analysis.
- With the Righteous of the Church removed from Earth, the Tribulation is brought to an End and Great Tribulation now Begins.
- There is a 19 Day Interval (see note below) between the Rapture of the Church and the arrival of Apophis, heralding Satan's Greatest Wrath.
- The two periods together - Tribulation immediately followed by Great Tribulation - occur for a total of 2520 Days (1260 Days + 1260 Days).
- Moving forward in time 1260 Days from March 26, 2029 (or 2520 Days from October 14, 2025) brings us to . . .
October 14, 2025 (Tishrei 22): Tribulation Begins
- This is the exact day of the last Holy Day of the Tishrei (Fall) Holy Days - Simchat Torah or Final Feast.
- Whenever the 3.5 Year Period is described as "Forty-Two Months", either the First 3.5 Years - Tribulation - or the Second 3.5 Years - Great Tribulation - is being described.
- "Forty-Two Months" is to be understood as 3.5 Prophetic Years of 360 days each, which equates to 1260 Days.
- Moving forward in time 1260 Days from October 14, 2025 brings us to . . .
September 6, 2032 (Tishrei 1): JESUS SAVIOR - The 144,000 Sealed of Israel are Raptured
- This is Jesus' Second Advent when He comes on a White Cloud - Revelation 14:14.
- This is the exact Day of the first Holy Day of the Tishrei Holy Days - Rosh Hashanah - The Day of Blowing Trumpets.
- This event removes the last of the Righteous from Earth and so brings an End to Great Tribulation.
- Another 19 Day Interval (see note below), here between the Rapture of Israel and the 7th Trumpet - the 3rd Woe - heralding God's Ending Wrath upon the wicked.
Going back to Apophis - Friday, April 13, 2029 (Nisan 29): Lynchpin Event - now moving Forward in Time
- The events of the 7th Seal's 5th Trumpet - the 1st Woe - are immediately set into motion by the impact of asteroid Apophis - Revelation 8 - 9.
- This event of torment (not death) lasts 5 Prophetic Months (Revelation 9:5), which is 150 Days.
- Moving forward in time 150 Days from April 13, 2029 brings us to . . .
September 9, 2029 (Tishrei 1): The 6th Trumpet Sounds, Unleashing Satan's Full Wrath
- This is the very Day of Rosh Hashanah, the 1st Day of the Tishrei (Fall) Holy Days.
- The 6th Trumpet - the 2nd Woe - is the only time when God allows Satan free rein to do as he wishes, and Satan delivers his Full Wrath.
- The 144,000 Sealed of Israel must now endure truly GREAT Tribulation.
- Moving forward in time 1260 Days from April 13, 2029 brings us to . . .
September 24, 2032 (Tishrei 19): JESUS CONQUEROR - The 7th Trumpet Sounds, Unleashing GOD'S ENDING WRATH
- This is the exact midpoint of the 8 Day Feast of Tabernacles - the Final Sukkot.
- The Previously Raptured Righteous continue its observance in Heaven with the Father, while their Lord rains righteous vengeance upon their enemies.
- This 7th Trumpet is the 3rd Woe, the time of God's Ultimate Ending Wrath.
- It lasts 190 Days to the New Millennium, April 1 and Nisan 1, 2033, the 7th and Last in God's Seven Millennium Plan.
Note: The Significance of the Two 19 Day Intervals and the 190 Days of God's Final Judgment:
- "(T)he number 9 symbolizes divine completeness or conveys the meaning of finality."
- "Ten is also viewed as a complete and perfect number, as is 3, 7 and 12. ... The Passover lamb was selected on day 10 of the 1st month (Exodus 12:3), as was Jesus, the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world (John 12:28 - 29; 1Corinthians 5:7). Day 10 of the 7th month is also the Holy Day known as the Day of Atonement. This unique day of fasting pictures the removal of Satan, the author of sin, before the Millennial reign of Jesus begins (Revelation 20:1 - 2)."
- "The number 19, which is the combining of 10 and 9, usually denotes God's perfect order in regard to his judgment in the Bible."
- The two 19 Day intervals, following the Church's Tribulation and then Israel's Great Tribulation, portend God's repayment in kind - JUDGMENT.
- The second 19 Day Interval is immediately followed by God's Final Judgment, lasting 19 x 10 = 190 Days - to the Final Millennium.
- We must also include here the fact that the Final Judgment of God's Wrath begins on the 19th Day of Tishrei, the 7th month.

Summary:
I have been putting this off for a while now, saving it to be the very last article I write, prior to adding final touches, proof reading and then uploading the website. How do I summarize the astonishing detail and clarity that has been revealed, and do it all justice? As the full project was unfolding with new details continually emerging, time and again I was awestruck in teary amazement, and quite literally left slack-jawed.
I concluded the page, The Seven Millennium Timeline saying that the case for Millennial Coordination had been proven beyond any reasonable doubt, and that what remained to be confirmed was ... how many Millennia will there be. Having now gone through Revelation's Timeline and having witnessed a precision of Timing that would make Rolex proud, I can only marvel.
Marvel at what a Great God we have. Marvel at His Magnificence at the Creation; His inexplicable Mercy at the Cross; His unparalleled Justice and Reward soon to come; and His Infinite Love to have done all of this for us―a rebellious and undeserving lot of creatures if there ever was one. And then God topped it all off by showing us His plan for our Rescue from Satan's grip, in a Seven Millennium Timeline that becomes more and more clear as we approach the most difficult Time we will ever face.
How do I convey the enormity of what this means? Not only has God kept perfect Time from Creation onward; but He has also gone to the trouble of documenting that complete Timeline - in advance - for all who need to see it. Doubting Thomas needed proof. I don't blame him. I think I have a bit of Thomas in me. I already believed the Bible is the Word of God, but with this, how can any reasonable person not concur.
Billions of people are hurting and getting desperate. They need answers. They need direction. Is there a God? How else can all of this be explained? Does this not prove God, at least for all those who haven't excluded His existence as a possibility. I am a person of logic and logically speaking, I believe it must. Find me another logical explanation if you can.
I also previously phrased the question about God's Millennia: "Are there in fact going to be God's Perfect-7 of them?" With the Timeline accuracy that we have now witnessed, can anyone doubt that we are quickly coming to the end of Millennium 6. Revelation showns us that the redeemed will spend Millennium 7 reigning on the Earth with their Savior. What glory! And that's not even the best that's yet to come―spending eternity in the paradise of the New Earth together with God.
Well, the website is now ready for its final touches, with one hour left in the day of April 13, 2022. Seven years precisely before . . . . Coincidence? Probably. But I certainly didn't purposely time it this way. I would like to have had it ready much sooner. Time is short.
Just one question left that I can think of. Are you ready?

Notes 'n Stuff:
What are we told about Apophis?
From this recent NASA statement (undated; from 2020 or 2021; my emphasis added):
- "Apophis (2004 MN4) is one of the most important near-Earth asteroids ever discovered. It will make a very close Earth approach on Friday, April 13, 2029 when it will pass within 0.1 lunar distances, [a cosmic eyelash of < 20,000 miles] which is only a few Earth radii above Earth's surface. This will be the closest approach by something this large currently known."
- "Apophis has been observed at a variety of optical wavelengths and some of its key physical properties have been estimated. "... the diameter is about 270 meters [to] about 375 meters. ... [observation] suggests a very elongated shape."
- "Published estimates of the thermal inertia [relevant to the Yarkovsky effect] span an order of magnitude and have large fractional uncertainties."
- "... observations in 2013 confirm that Apophis is elongated ... [and] strongly suggest that the shape is bifurcated, and yield an effective diameter of about 0.34 km."
- "The principal source of orbital uncertainty for Apophis is the acceleration due to the Yarkovsky effect, a non-gravitational perturbation that is a function of the asteroid's spin state, thermal inertia, mass, shape, and dimensions. ... it is possible that we may see a somewhat larger time-delay correction to the predicts than usual."
- The primary objectives with radar observations [of a fairly close Apophis flyby] in 2021 will be to estimate ranges and obtain echo power spectra to help reduce uncertainties in the orbit, spin state, and 3D shape.
- Apophis will pass through the observing window of NASA's NEOWISE spacecraft in December 2020 and April 2021, which should facilitate new estimation of the diameter, and by comparison with the 3D model estimated from radar data and photometry, provide calibration for the diameter estimated from NEOWISE data.
- Apophis has been classified as a "Potentially Hazardous Asteroid" (PHA) by the IAU's Minor Planet Center.
- "The Yarkovsky effect is a force acting on a rotating body in space caused by the anisotropic emission of thermal photons, which carry momentum. It is usually considered in relation to meteoroids or small asteroids (about 10 cm to 10 km in diameter), as its influence is most significant for these bodies."
- "For a specific asteroid, it is very hard to predict the exact impact of the Yarkovsky effect on its orbit. This is because its magnitude depends on many variables that are hard to determine from the limited observational information that is available. These include the exact shape of the asteroid, its orientation, and its albedo, along with its variations over the surface and with wavelength. Calculations are further complicated by the effects of shadowing and thermal "reillumination", whether caused by local craters or a possible overall concave shape. The Yarkovsky effect also competes with radiation pressure whose net effect may cause similar small long-term forces for bodies with albedo variations and/or non-spherical shapes."
- "Now it seems the true risk is unclear, thanks to minute effects that the calculations didn't take into account. "You really can't estimate the probability because it's driven by these unknown physical parameters," says Jon Giorgini of the Near-Earth Object Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California."
- "This phenomenon - the Yarkovsky effect - means our calculations of Apophis's path could be out by millions of kilometres, according to Giorgini, who will present his results at the Asteroid, Comets, and Meteors conference in Baltimore, Maryland, on 17 July."
- Mr. Giorgini's comments were made in 2008 and his concern was for a post 2029 impact. However, that a person with Giorgini's credentials would state that NASA's estimates of where Apophis will be positioned after 2029 could be off by "millions of kilometres", certainly doesn't inspire great confidence that 2029 estimates could not be off by a mere 32,000 km (20,000 mi).
From this recent NASA statement (dated March, 2021):
- "... the results from a new radar observation campaign combined with precise orbit analysis have helped astronomers conclude that there is no risk of Apophis impacting our planet for at least a century." This already has scientific pushback.
- "On April 13th, 2029, the asteroid Apophis will pass less than 20,000 miles (32,000 kilometers) from our planet's surface - closer than the distance of geosynchronous satellites."
- The asteroid is 340 meters wide.
- The scientists "... will continue to analyze these observations to determine more information about Apophis' size, shape, and rate of spin."
- They also want "... to develop a better understanding of the asteroid's rotation rate and the axis it spins around (known as its spin state)."
- In spite of this remaining lack of knowledge, "... the uncertainty in Apophis' orbit has collapsed ... to just a handful of kilometers when projected to 2029."
My take on this:
- Science has many times been wrong in the past: example.
- Governments make a habit of lying and withholding information they believe the public shouldn't have: a very small list.
- I could find no mainstream accepted scientists who allow for the possibility of an Apophis impact in 2029. However, I did find some who are ignored: example.
- Since it is often tantamount to career suicide for scientists to stray too far from "accepted" science, this fact could certainly account for a hesitancy to disagree.
Calculating the odds:
- Estimates of Apophis' size range up to 450 meters.
- Science estimates that an object of 400 meters in size strikes Earth once in 100,000 years.
- Odds of an Apophis-sized asteroid striking Earth in the correct year to fulfill Revelation, foreboding the end of the 6th Millennium of God's 7 Millennium Plan: 1 in 100,000
- Odds that this would occur on the specific Day of the Year: (1 in 365) x (1 in 100,000) = 1 in 36,500,000
- Odds (done through statistical analysis) that these 7 Years would contain the various timing alignments as shown in the chart: 1.084 in 100
- Odds that these 7 Years and the 7 Years leading to Jesus' Crucifixion in 33 AD would both have these timing alignments: (1.084 in 100)^2 ~ 1 in 10,000
- Odds against all of this aligning by chance: (1 in 10,000) x (1 in 36,500,000) = 1 in 365,000,000,000 OR 365 billion to 1
Revelation - Charting the Timeline
Answering the Preterist
There are some Christians who do not believe that the Bible's climactic prophecies such as the Revelation, are still waiting to be fulfilled during the waning years just prior to Jesus' return at His Second Advent. They believe these prophecies to have already happened, and that biblical prophecy does not look further into the future than the First Century AD.
Obviously, a view that Revelation's fulfillment lies in the future, and a view that it has already seen fulfillment in the past, cannot both be correct. We clearly hold to the Futuristic View of Revelation, and we need to devote some space to explain why we believe Revelation could not have already been fulfilled.
The belief that Revelation has already been fulfilled is termed preterism and its advocates are preterists. We deal with preterism and expose its weaknesses via an informative two-part article. You can find it on the page, Answering The Preterist.
